Landslide Kills Children in Peru by Corsica Steding

Eleven bodies have been recovered from a landslide in Peru's jungle.  Six of these were children.  Ten people are still missing according to the country's state news agency.  The landslide also destroyed ten homes and a pedestrian bridge.  People are desperately searching for the other ten people, but there is a flooding river that is slowing them down.  To help the search, Peru's government is sending humanitarian aid.

Nelson Quinones wrote this article for CNN on October 18.  Before reading this article, I'd only heard of landslides damaging houses.  This article is written for anyone who is interested, or wants an update on how many people have been found so far.  It was also written to warn people of what landslides can do.  I really hope that they are able to find the ten people that are unaccounted for.
