In South Sudan, dozens were murdered and possibly hundreds were kidnapped while herding their livestock. These unarmed civilians were attacked by a heavily armed militia, who were identified as part of the Murle ethnic group. The victims, on the other hand, were in the Lou Nuer tribe. These two groups are known enemies and have been battling over grazing land and water rights. Many families were killed, and even more are still missing.
This shows what can result from disputes between two cultures. These two groups need to come up with a solution to their problems in a nonviolent way before more innocent people are killed.
