1-year-old Boy Was Shot in the head And Killed. {Nikki Capron}

Antiq Hennis, 1, was shot and killed as he was being pushed in a stroller by his parents. When neighbours heard three gunshots, they ran outside to hear the father yelling "My baby is shot, my baby is shot." as a man ran away from the scene.
The child was pronounced dead upon arrival at a Brooklyn hospital. Teenager De'Marquise Elkins will be faced with a life sentence for killing Antiq and shooting Antiq's mother after demanding money in an attempted robbery. The family had been on their way to Antiq's grandparent's house.
I personally think this shows how unpredictable teenagers are, and that if the parents of the one-year-old had been able to carry an concealed weapon, they could have defended themselves in a much better fashion.

  2. I totally agree the teenagers today are become do bad. To where they need to change something in the word because it's getting rediculous and so much is happening now today.

  4. The impression I got from your article is that all teenagers are potential threats, but in reality a majority of trenagers are actually not as harmful as you think. If a child is growing up with people around them commiting crimes and they start doing that do, then, yeah, they could potentially turn dangerous, but a majority of teenagers are completely harmless!

  5. I'm shocked that he went out of the way to shoot the little one. Out of two adults and one innocent pure spirit, he chose the third. There is probably less than 20 years inbetween the two also. Now the couple will have a gaping hole in their hearts until they die.

  8. This is why I don't think the U.S. should restrict guns, if the parents had one they could've used it to defend themselves.

  9. I think it's scary that the teenager was able to carry a weapon without being caught, and that they would have the mindset, like you said, to be capable of killing another person so young! I also think this would be a good argument for stricter gun control laws.

  10. I agree, teenagers should not be allowed to own a gun. Also I think that the U.S. should really focus on the gun control laws we have today.

  12. It really makes me upset that such person would do this just for the greed of money. I agree that the U.S. shouldn't restrict gun laws so that this family could have had more protection in the situation and possibly avoided what happened. As for criminals, even under very restricted gun laws, they would still have guns no matter what! It's not guns that kill people, it's people that kill people!
