The 64 year old swimmer Diana Nyad finally accomplished her life long goal after an unbelievable swim from Cube to Florida. This was Diana's fifth try after during a remarkable 35 year period. She unfortunately didn't succeed after the first 4 times but after the 5th try, nothing was going to stop her. "One is we should never ever give up. Two is you never are too old to chase your dreams. Three is it looks like a solitary sport, but it's a team," Diana once said. Nyad faced many set back during her first four attempts  from jellyfish stings, to her horrific asthma attacks and lightning storms, but this time she was not stopping.
Nyad finally reached Key West Beach just before 2 p.m Monday afternooon. It was an outraging & horrific swim but the amazing swimmer pushed through every step of the way. She taught me personally to never give up on your dream, and that in my opinion is outstanding.
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try, try, try again."

  2. She is so inspirational! If I were as old as her and had tried that many times to accomplish something and kept failing I probably would've given up! She has given me a whole new look on life.
