In 2010 Kyron Horman went missing in Oregon and he has still not been found. I believe that the article was written to inform the public that there is a missing child and if they know something about him they should inform the police/ search team. It also could have been written if they are close to finding the child, so if they find him, the public will know that the missing child had been found. This article is important because it makes us realize that the world is not as safe as it may seem and it informs us that they will not give up trying to find Kyron. This article is trying to get the attention of the public so they can know what is going on and they can help if possible.
