Japanese Nuclear Power Plant By: Eileen Loera

A tsunami-damaged power plant in Japan (Fukushima Daiichi Plant) continues to have problems after being hit by a massive earthquake/tsunami in March 2011.
Toxic water was stored in temporary storage units in large tanks after the tsunami hit. Officials suspect that some tanks are leaking the toxic water due to a spike in radiation levels at the plant.
The water is being moved into other tanks to avoid further accidents. Also, Shunichi Tanaka (Japanese nuclear "watchdog") refuses to discharge the tainted water that is above accepted levels into the Pacific ocean.

  1. I believe this is very dangerous!! If the toxic water leaks any more, or radiation escapes, it could harm many people living in that city!!!
