Two people arrested at Buckingham Palace by Katelyn McLane

Two men were arrested by the British police after a trespassing and burglary incident. They are still investigating what happened, but they do know that at least one man climbed over a security fence. It's not the first time that intruders have gotten into the palace, but luckily this time none of the royal family was in the palace. A long time ago, there was a man who got into the queen's room, but nobody has gotten that close to the queen since then. Still, the security of the palace is now being reviewed.

It's really very lucky that the royal family wasn't in the castle when these men got in, but it's still scary. They probably need better security fences, too, if someone could just scale it like that. It's very risky to try to steal from a royal palace. I don't understand what would prompt someone to do that, but I don't think I ever will.

  1. After this incident, Buckingham Palace will need to beef up their security, not just to protect their royalty, but to protect their reputation as well. For infiltration of a building so important as that to happen more than once makes it seem like they are weak or lazy in security.

  2. I thought Buckingham Palace was much more secure than it actually is. But they really do need more things like taller gates, to make it more secure... And possibly a security desk.

  3. I hope this is wake up call for the security! You would think they would be so much more secure since there's so many tourists visiting the palace. I really hope they do something to prevent this from ever happening again.
