Nepal Earthquake; Current Death Toll: 4,310 by Bella Dekhtyar

http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/26/asia/nepal-earthquake/

A powerful earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.8,  struck Nepal on Saturday, and has killed/injured numerous of people. With a current death toll of over 4,300 and a count of almost 8,000 injured, people are beginning to loose hope. Among the dead were 4 Americans including, Google Executive: Dan Fredinburg,  Marisa Eve Girawong, Tom Taplin (a film maker), and a Vietnamese-American hiker named Ninh Truong. Areas such as Mt. Everest in the Himalayas and the villages in Nepal were the strongest hit and are currently being helped by the Disaster Response Team.

This is among the most devastating natural disasters I've probably ever heard. Not only are thousands upon thousands injured or dead, but homes are destroyed (both old and new) leaving the citizens with no shelter, food, or water. What's also horrible is the question of how Nepal is going to rebuild its towns and provide shelter for thousands of victims. These people need a place to go where its safe from further aftershocks and falling debris. I hope that all will be better soon for the victims and their families.
