Enough is Enough-Alyssa Hamilton

In Bredasdorp, South Africa the people have risen up in protest. Hundreds of them are marching the streets screaming "Enough is enough." They have gathered around a building site where a 17-year old girl was gang raped and left to die. Her mother was the one who found her, lying on the ground mutilated. However before the girl died she was able to tell them the name of one of her attackers and since then 3 men have now been arrested and face court. The sexual crimes in South Africa have gotten so bad that a radio station now plays a "beep" every four minutes to remind their listeners that ( on average ) a women in South Africa just got raped. This incident and another one quite similar to it have caused both national and international disarray. Thankfully though, this brought the violent problems in South Africa to light again in the President's eye and they are finally going to try to do something.

My prayers go out to the girls family and to anyone else who's lost someone do to the unnecessary violence in South Africa. This is a horrible event but hopefully it will have some beneficial effects.
