In Syria, some of the rebels took control of an important dam not too long ago. This is one of their best victories of all time, as they are not often successful in taking over parts of their country. This is Syria's largest dam and is an industrial symbol of their country. The rebels of Syria are now in control of the dam, ignoring the fact that one slip up could drown major amounts of land and people. They had previously seized two smaller dams by the Euphrates river, and had gone ahead and grabbed the largest one. It is the most important dam of the country, and supplies tons of people with electricity. Hopefully the rebels will use their power for good, but that is not likely as they already have burned down a statue of the leader's father. This article was written for people that would like to know about the middle east, or even people who have family or friends that live there. The article was leaning towards the fact that the rebels are not good people, and I cant help but agree. Although a little bias, it was a nice and factual read. I hope that that power gets back into good hands soon enough..
