Argentina Lowers The Age For Voting

Argentina passed a new measure lowering the nations voting age to 16. Some representatives in south america voted in favor of the law Wednesday, most of the representatives approved it last week. The lowering of the age from 18 to 16 comes a year before an election in Argentina  and some critics have said that. Its an attempt of president Cristina and her party to garner votes.
Meanwhile others say it will give young people more opportunities to participate in politics. A representative said " I think its important  that the law reflects reality". "Reality indicates that participation of young people is increasing our country. Its god that its that way." He said. Some representatives agree to what he said some don't, the point is that they decided to pass that  measure. I ask Veto more about this in class and hear his opinion about this.

  1. I think that its a good idea to lower the age limit to vote. This gives many other teenagers the opportunity to vote.
