In the past week the hurricane 'Sandy' hit the North, New York was one of the hardest of the cities hit. Even a week later after the tragedy there is still over 700,000 homes and businesses without power. There is also no gas. Governor Andrew Cuomo, of New York, has stated that any stores that is price gouging, he will revoke there licenses. Obama even stopped his campaigning around the country to go take care of this.
This is truly a tragedy, many things have been destroyed. My family grew up over there, I go there a lot and many places that i love and have great memories of have been destroyed. Long Beach, the boardwalk. Everyone knows Jersey Shore right? gone. For the first time in 110 years the subways are submerged in water and shut down. So lets please not take for granted the beautiful things in this world and more.
I could not imagine having to go through this.. It's a terrible tragedy.
