Murderer finally caught..for the second time by Sydney May

Sydney May

In Chicago a few days ago, Steven L. Robbins was arrested after being mistakenly released from prison. He was serving a 60-year sentence for murder and had been able to leave because the prison workers lost some paperwork that had directed them to keep him there. He was rearrested last friday, and was finally put where he belongs: behind bars. He had been appearing in court for ANOTHER case that was affiliated with drugs and other substances, and on his way back was released instead of being returned to Indiana jail. Cook County sheriff takes the blame, saying that he was the one who lost the document that told them to lock him back up. This was extremely scary because the public was not alerted that he was released, and he was on the loose for a little over 24 hours. I, personally, am just glad that he is where the public cannot be harmed by him any longer.
This article was written by Jason Keyser, and was very factual. One thing that I particularly liked about this article was that it didn't only say what was going on in the present, it gave the audience a back story so that the article was easy to follow and to understand. I did not detect any bias, which is always a pleasure. I believe that this was probably written for people of the Illinois-Indiana area so that they could be informed about an important mistake. I found this article to be a little frightening. Who knows what he could have gotten away with in the short time that he was free?

  3. Wow, I am happy he did not get a chance to kill somebody. That would have been a really horrible thing.
