Another Earthquake in Guatemala-Maddie Ash

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit Guatemala today just days after the most powerful quake in decades. The epicenter was located off Guatemala's Pacific coast. The tremor was so powerful it was felt in El Salvador and southern Mexico. There have been no reports of death or major damage, but both powerful quakes in such quick succession have caused panic in Guatemala. The earthquake that struck Wednesday caused much damage and 52 deaths. San Marcos, a state near the Mexican border, was hit the worst. 10 members of the same family in San San Cristobal Cucho were killed when their house collapsed. Most of the fatalities occurred in San Marcos and neighboring region of Quetzaltenango. 22 people are still missing and thousands lost their homes and are without power.
