Day of The Dead -Megan Darlington

The Day of the Dead is a celebration in Mexico, a day set to remeber and honor those of who have passed. The people celebrated the lives of their loved ones. This is a colorful festival that goes back to culture of the Aztecs! Families took picnics to cemetaries, decorated grave with flowers and sprinkled holy water around! They always have a very meaningful festival with many festivities!

This was written by many people in central and parts of south america. With this being said, Day of The Dead is a huge ritual known through out all the americas! I think this celebration is specieal because i think all past peoples lives should be celebrated! I think this is a happy time to accept someones passing and celebrate them!
