President Evo Morales
People are being watched bywhat they choose to say and criticize President Evo Morales in Bolivia. President Evo Morales has not only been upset with what people have been posting on Facebook, Twitter, etc. about him, but he is taking names on those who are posting hateful things. He agree's that not everyone will applaud him, but some will agree with him. These things not only create a bad image for the President of Bolivia, but there are too many people taking advantage of the social media. I personally agree with the saying, "If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all.." It's easier for people to get along and stay positive. The internet sites shouldn't be used to be hateful and mean, there are other purposes and people are overlooking all of that. I find this article very interesting because its good to know that the President keeps up with the media and is looking into creating a proposed law regulating social media through the country's congress.
I would have to disagree with you about the whole "social media should be more positive" thing. People are allowed to share what they want to. It's true that not much of it is relevant, necessary, or even interesting, but social networking is a form of communication that is only as tame as its members. I wouldn't worry too much about all of this if i was in his position, but i will cross the line at death threats...
ReplyDeleteI guess he doesn't believe in free speech.
ReplyDeleteWhat is he going to do to the people voicing their opinions? Is he seriously going to track down every single person? Not everyone is going to like you. You can't force that just because you're the president.
