Mass development in Panama puts pressure on Wetlands

In Panama City, construction and development in and around the wetlands puts stress on the environment. Panama's urbanization is causing destruction of the wetlands.
Environmentalists warn that the construction threatens one of the world's richest ecosystems and the habitat for vast numbers of North American shorebirds. Even though urbanization is great for growing cities especially Panama, is it worth destroying the native habitat?
I think that the government should find a way to continue construction without destroying the wetlands.
