Vandalism of Anne in Japan - Amanda Maceda

Last semester, thge majority of us in English class paricipated in reading The Diary of Anne Frank. Its a worldwide reknown book that gives insight about Nazi Germany during the holocaust. In Japan, this book is many citizens main base of knowlege about that time. However, a someone has damaged more than 300 copies in Libraries and book stores. Under questioning now, a 36 year old man has admitted to tearing ot pages and other sorts of vandilism in about 20 books. No motive has been established, and they aren't even sure if the man in questioning had done all of this. source:http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-26577954
This is sad. A man is literally running arounf town ripping appart basically a little girls diary. Also, its a historical refrence material that is influentual to learining about the worlds past. I cant come up with any motive for this guy. Perhaps, like some cops are now thinking, maybe he was mentally ill.

  1. At least he did not do any serious damage. He could have killed someone or something. Im glad he only destroyed a few books, even if they are important.

  3. This is awful! This guy must be some kind of anti-semitic to be doing this.

  4. This is awful but also kind of funny. You gotta admit, a Japanese man ripping out pages from a book that came from Europe. Even if it's the Diary of Anne Frank, I think it's so random
