Cheerios' Commercial - Max Gaddis

http://youtu.be/kYofm5d5Xdw

This Cheerio's commercial received a lot of negative feedback. It even got the comments disabled! Why? Because the parents are white and black and the child is mixed. This commercial was a good example of how racism still exist in the 21st century. Now, there are other examples. More violent examples.

All five stories deal with racism, and they are not all against blacks, as so many people wrongly think. Here is what some kids think of that Cheerio's commercial.

CNN invites you to share your experiences with racism and remembering Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech by using the hash tag #everydayracism on Twitter (and I guess on Facebook now, too).

Now, I personally don't understand what the problem is, but most people seem to have a problem with this commercial while I, on the other hand, think it's cute. :D

  1. I don't see why there is a huge controversy. There's nothing racist about the commercial

    1. Exactly, people just have a twisted way of viewing things that makes sense in their mind. Racism itself isn't even real, it's just a state of mind.

  2. I don't understand what the problem is either, just let them be.

  3. Thats funny, since it seems like that is the opposite of racism. I mean, didnt they do that to avoid the commercial problem with a fully black or fully white family?
