Island May Become Extinct by Jesse Dale

http://www.cnn.com/2014/12/05/world/kiribati-atlantis/index.html?hpt=wo_mid

The small Pacific island of Kiribati has having trouble with the rising tide and may even go fully underwater, being called "the next Atlantis." Government has tried many things to try and save their island nation, but their poor budget has not allowed them to be successful with anything. The U.N. is also trying everything they can do to help, but still has not yet figured anything out.

To all the people who think global warming and climate change is a myth, I don't know how you can logically explain this. island do not just sink back into the water. Global warming causes the sea levels to rise because of melting ice, and this is proof that it actually exists. Many lives are at stake because of countries like America and all of Europe's decisions. If we keep up with how we do things, like burning coal and natural gases and burning holes in the ozone layer, then pretty soon many islands (like ones that you like to vacation on) will be gone, and it will not be able to blame it on anyone than ourselves.

  1. I'm not a scientist but I've read once before that the Earth goes through cooling and warming periods and that it's currently in a warming period. Again, I'm not a scientist, but it might be something to look into. It still is sad if many people will lose their home.
