Iraqi, allied forces try to win back Tikrit, win over hearts and minds of residents
The Article listed above tells about the recent bombings of Tikrit, executed by none other than ISIS. The extremist group has been in control of the area since the summer of 2014.
Personally I am astonished that the world has allowed yet another terrorist group make it far enough to become such a huge threat to a large area. I suppose history does repeat itself.
It is questionable how such a threat emerged right under the government's noses. The group needs to be stopped, especially now.
