The fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman took place on the night of February 26, 2012, in Sanford, Florida, United States. Martin was an unarmed 17-year-old African American. My personal belief was this was incredibly , breath taking because to know that a 17 year old boy can be shot and killed because he wanted some skittles and a tea just is breath taking. From the things Ive read/heard is that Zimmerman was a Neighbor hood watch person . Yes he had a right to have the gun but he DID NOT have the right to shoot him.It was unnecessary PERIOD ! Most people believed it was a racism problem but i will leave that up to you to decide. I chose this because today I went to the store and grabbed some skittles and tea,and it reminded me of this story.Although Trayvon is dead, and i never knew him , he will forever live in my heart.
