6,000 ghost towns: Italy migrant by Londyn Alexander pd: 9

Italy has recently been struggling with a "migrant" issue.  Lampseuda a small island of the country is located by the African territory Libya, allowing many of Libya's civiillians to travel illegally to the island. The numerous migrants travel by sea earning themselves the nickname "boat people," the mode of transportation resulting in the deaths of migrants.  To solve this issue the Italian government has decided to allow them to live it's 6,000 ghost towns that date back to pre-roman times. The Migrants could potentially increase agriculture, new shops, and increase tourism, having an overall positive impact on italian society.

I think Italy's response to the migrant crisis is very smart and logical. The Ghost towns have not been put to use in over a century, and this is a great us of them. I do hope that the migrants to support the country as a sort of repayment do to the mass amount of Libyan population who came over. In conclusion the solution they decided on has multiple pros as well as cons.
