Construction of the worlds first super telescope
Literally called the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) this telescope will be the biggest in the world. With a 39 diameter radius, it will be like none other. It will be an adaptive telescope and be able to correct atmospheric turbulence. The construction of this new and enormous optical and infrared telescope will give scientists a huge step closer into understanding the inner-workings of our known universe.
