A dramatic video was taken at a dock in British Columbia that captures a little girl sitting on the edge of a dock and a sea lion jumping out of the water and biting her dress to pull her into the water. Just a mere second behind her bystander jumped into the water and pulled her out, likely saving her life. It was reported that before this event people were feeding the sea lions regular food and it was concluded that the animal most likely thought her dress was food.
This just goes to show that we can't treat wild animals the same way we treat trained ones. Obviously the sea lion was not trying to put anyone in danger, he thought that it was just more food that they were feeding to him. It is sad that animals don't have much of a natural habitat anymore because everything is so commercialized and people don't know how to treat the environment.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, because a little girl almost lost her life from people trying to change the way wild animals live. We just need to leave things alone sometimes and that's what we need to do with wild animals.
