I'm the Phillipines, president Rodrigo Duterte has declared martial law in the south due to terrorist attacks and other extremists. This fear is spreading, however, as he is considering implementing martial law nationwide. Duterte believes that if he allows militants to take certain footholds, the entire country will fall, similarly to American domino effect theory from the Cold War. Who knows how this will go, as martial law has often led to military dictatorships.

I hope that the law works how it's supposed to, and not end up in dictatorships.
