Pokemon go death Japan - Teaghan Ortega

http://money.cnn.com/2016/08/24/technology/pokemon-go-death-japan/index.html

On August 24, 2016 in New Delhi, Japan, a 39-year old farmer hit two women on a Japanese road as he was playing Pokemon, Go. He was playing the reality game and failed to notice the two women crossing the road.  One woman dies and the other is in a hospital severly injured.  This and recent injuries to people have brought questions to many governments about the safety of the Pokemon reality game and have warned about going near sensitive areas and military bases.

I believe that the basis for the game is a good idea- designed to get people outside to explore the city.  However, the game had gotten out of control.  It has gotten people robbed, leads them into trespassing areas and now people are getting killed.  No reality game is worth someone's life.

As with most things in life, things that were created for good can turn bad when they become addictive or are taken to a level of obserdity.  Everthing in moderation!

  1. It is almost like people are so caught up in a virtual reality, they aren't even aware of what is happening in their own reality. I agree with your point of view.

  2. I absolutely love this article because it has nothing to do with politics and such, so this is definitely unique. You're opinion is also expressive yet very accurate and true

  3. This is honestly the saddest thing I've seen on the internet today:( we should be focused on the more important things like your job, school, and living a good and clean life.
