At a prison in Brazil, inmates blasted a hole through a wall, and exchanged gunfire with police. During this incident, two inmates were considered dead, and 28 prisoners escaped. While the prisoners were escaping, fifteen heavily armed men were outside the penitentiary providing support for them.
This incident really helped me realize how easy it is for some to escape prison. I never think about the fact that people can be on the outside trying to help them escape too. I would really like to know how they got such resources while locked up. All I know after reading this, though, is that just because someone is locked away in a cell, doesn't mean they can't escape. Hey, just look at those guys who escaped Alcatraz! No one knows if they made it out, but they could have. If they did, then they were able to successfully escape one of the most protected prisons out there, and that's definitely an eye-opener.
There should definitely be higher security to make sure prisoners don't escape. I agree that there is a possibility of escaping, however the police need to do something to minimize their chances of escape. I am not sure how they will do it, but i just know they have to. Considering the fact that 28 prisoners escaped is not good and not safe for others.
