Current Event- Ellen Whitehead

After the death of 117 year-old Emma Morano, Violet Moss-Brown was named the oldest woman in the world. Brown was born in 1900 and current lives in Jamaica. Even her 97 year-old son is still living. She has been a organist for the church she attends for over 80 years. After her husband died in 1997, she took on the task of becoming the record keeper for the cemetery. Brown has lived through multiple major moments in history including both world wars and the founding of her country. I think that it is amazing that someone can stay alive and healthy for this long, especially considering the death age is 71.

  3. I wonder what she does, if anything, to make her live so long. This is amazing, and I hope I will be able to live this long.
