On the first day of the school term, a man, who was armed with two knives, attacked a Chinese primary school by injuring a teacher and eight children, three of whom have died on the way to the hospital. He threw himself off the building, killing himself, after the attack. It was reported that he was angry because the school wouldn't let his daughter register because she didn't finish her summer homework.

This incident scares me. For a man to get angry, kill people and himself over a problem that is so easily fixed is crazy. I can't imagine what that man's daughter goes through living with him. It is said in the article that, "School guards in China are often not equipped or trained to stop such attacks."
This is probably true because of the few cases of violent crimes taking place in schools in China, but that is obviously quickly changing. In the recent past, there had already been two cases of attacks on schools in China. It is clear that China should start amping up their security in schools because, most likely, this is not going to be the last school attack in China.
