Natalia Hernandez- People in India and Pakistan are in dreadful danger from furious Monsoon floods, already 300 have died.

In northern India and Pakistan, the Monsoon rains have already claimed nearly 300 people,  submerged homes, smothered villages, and triggered massive rescue efforts in Sinagar. These floods also caused landslides that have accumulated the majority of deaths. 5 days of incessant rain have left 450 villages deep in water and affected 2000 others. Schools, and businesses have been shut down, crops have been ruined, and resources are limited. This can almost be considered a national crisis.

It is amazing how the Monsoons that India depends on so much can be volatile to the extent that one moment people will rejoice for the opportunity the rains bring in terms of farming and crops, while they can also despair at the destruction that these ferocious, merciless storms unleash.

  1. It's terrible how natural disasters can effect people's lives so quickly and negatively. And it's sad that the thing that India's economy depends on so much has had this effect. Hopefully everyone is able to rebuild what they've lost, and people who are able reach out to the people of India to help
