Meteorite makes big crater in Nicaragua by jack Rogers

www.cnn.com

A meteorite crashed down in Managua, Nicaragua, late Saturday night, it made a loud crash at 11:05 pm on a Saturday night. Scientist say it may have come off a asteroid that was supposed to safely pass by on Sunday. The asteroid is 60 feet long and they say it was no threat to earth because it was 25000 miles away from the planet but they think debris may have came off the asteroid and struck Nicaragua.

To me that could have been a major threat to the country because that could've struck in a town and it could've killed many people and also there could've been more debris from the asteroid that could've came to earth.

  1. It's lucky that the meteorite didn't hit anyone, and scary that scientists weren't able to detect it. They probably just assumed it would be alright because the asteroid was so far off.
