Blast at Venezuela oil refinery kills 39 by: Erin Mims

<p>An explosion at an oil refinery in Venezuela occurred killing 39 people, including a 9 year old little boy.
The incident occurred at 1:11 a.m. when "we had a release of gas whose origin we are going to determine," Rafael Ramirez, president of the state-owned petroleum company PDVSA, told VTV. "The gas generated a cloud that then exploded and provoked fires in at least two tanks of the refinery and in the surrounding areas."

The president has given the employees and their families 3 days of mourning and his condolences to the families of the victims.

This article was written for mostly the people of Venezuela to note them of this explosion of gases, but could easily have been written for everyone to read. This article really gave a negative tone because of all the deaths and how easy it was for just one little mistake to blow up two whole tanks of gas and cause 39 deaths
