Corruption 2 Years After the Earthquake- Kennedi Mayes

Two years after the massive earth quake in Haiti, there are still major problems arising and getting worse. Damage and corrupted minds are now plaguing the country. There are countless numbers of rape cases that have occurred since January of 2010, and over half of them weren't reported This has ultimately led to illegal alley abortions and dropping off babies in streets. Women are now being encouraged to speak up and let their voice be heard so justice can be brought to their situations. Eventually, with some work, the Haitian society and their morals can be corrected.

I think it's really sad to hear that the people of Haiti are hurting each other, men and women. The men raping the women and the women abandoning their children are just sad stories in general, but add poverty and trying to gather all your bearings after an earthquake to the equation, and you get the formula for chaos. Your opinions?

  1. :( I really hope things get better for Haiti. They have been through a lot and I feel that they need a better central government and that laws need to be enforced and so should consequences

  2. That's so awful! I really hope that the government will be able to get things under control soon, and that the women will have the courage to speak up.
