Dead & Missing Sudan Families - Hannah Kalan


103 bodies were found in South Sudan and to make matters worse, hundreds of families are presumed missing. An ethnic militia attacked government troops protecting a cattle drive, yet this is just one of the many situations turned violent over land and water rights. The Lou Nuer and the Murle ethnic groups have been disputing these two things for some time now, and this has led to several events of sporadic violence in Jonglei state, bordering Ethiopia. This is such a sad issue, especially since South Sudan only recently became independent, as of July, 2011.
