Hurricane Paul, a Category 3 Storm in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Baja California in Mexico, reached 120 mph, moving northeast. When it reaches Baja California, it is expected to bypass major tourist areas in Los Cabos. School was suspended in Los Cabos as a precaution. This hurricane is also expected to hit other major cities on Baja's Pacific and civil protection authorities have been monitoring it in case of possible evacuations. A hurricane warning is in effect from Santa Fe to Puerto San Andresito and other tropical storm warnings are in affect in the same general area.
This is important because the hurricane can affect parts of the U.S and parts of Latin America. this could affect the trade routes and trade products that happen between the two Americas. The hurricane is hitting the coast so it is affecting the ships, fish and routes needed to take. This is also important because we want to make sure there is as little loss of life as possible. Hurricanes are dangerous and this article is giving us a warning about it and where it is coming from. We want to stay safe.
