Meningitis infections killing Many by Amanda Cervantes

Recently an outbreak of  meningitis fungus has been infecting thousands here in the U.S because of a steroid shot given to many people that apparently had some meningitis fungus in it, which was given between the dates of  May 21 to September 24.So far eight people have died of the infection and 105 people are reportedly contaminated with it. As many as 13,000 people may have gotten the contaminated shots in eleven different states, Tennessee being the state with the most reportedly infected people.Meningitis is when the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord inflate, there are three types of meningitis, viral, bacterial and fungal. Fortunately this kind is fungal and is not contagious. Some symptoms of  fungal meningitis are headache, fever, vomiting, stiffness of neck, dizziness and sensitivity to brightness.
