2 planes nearly collide Andrew Tunell

Two comercial planes with hundreds of passengers nearly collided recently after they were assigned 2 very close altitudes to fly at by a air traffic controller. Luckily the disaster was averted when the pilot directed the plane to a lower altitude. This still was unpleasant for the passengers because to plane had to loose altitude so quickly, 600 feet in 1 minute.

This is very scary for all the passengers on board it would have been a major tragedy if they did  crash. I think there needs to be more organization among air traffic controllers to avoid future occurrences like this.

  1. We often take airplane rides, trains, boats, elevators, cars etc for granted, but we still have to be so careful because none of those machines are relatively old, and they are in fact extremely dangerous.
