To go to the MOOmin Café, By: Jon Cope

To go to the MOOmin Café, By: Jon Cope

Why did the cow cross the road?
  - to go to the Moomin House Café!

Summary:
In Japan, Tokyo, There is a restaurant called "Moomin House Café." At this restaurant, an Anti-loneliness campaign has started. Now, what they do is that they bring a giant stuffed animal, called a "Moomin," to sit with you. They do this so that you don't feel awkward eating by yourself. Apparently, the idea of a Moomin comes from Finnish' (Finlanders') culture.

Analysis:
I think that this is a very neat idea! I think is a great way for them to increase their sales, and get more people into the restaurants. Honestly I would like to try one of them out. I also think it's great that they are using cultural diffusion to create the Moomin anti-loneliness campaign!

  1. I think it's a great idea! A Moomin cafe is really cute, and could cheer people up if they're feeling sad or just don't want to feel lonely while they eat. It could also attract young people who like Moomin. I agree with you, I'd like to try one out too!

  2. It sounds fun, but think about the future consequences. For one thing, lice would become a major issue. Also, some people might become too attached to these guys.
