Earthquake in China: Julianne Swaykus

In Beijing, China, an earthquake hit a mountainous area that killed at least 3 people and injured serveral. The earthquake measured a 5.9 on the Administration's Richter Scale and 5.8 by the U.S. Geological Survey. It hit several counties in Yunnan and Sichuan provinces. Twenty-two people's homes in the city of Benzilan collapsed and a total of 17 tourists were trapped. "The administration said another major quake hit Shangri-La three days ago, and the U.S. Geological Survey recorded three major aftershocks on Saturday."

Unlike hurricanes, tornadoes, or other natural disasters, we are unable to predict when an earthquake is going to hit until it is too late. One person was killed while driving because you never know when it will happen. I feel sorry for all of the families that have been affected and am sending good thoughts their way. http://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/272321-earthquake-today-china-earthquake-kills-at-least-3-on-august-31/
