This Saturday NASA launched its most recent mission to the moon. The unmanned space craft LADEE will further investigate the lunar atmosphere. LADEE will also test NASA's new laser communication system which NASA hopes to use on later missions. LADDEE stands for The Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer and the entire mission cost 280 million dollars.

This event is important because it shows that NASA is still making progress in space travel without government funding. This will also give the United States further insight on space travel and lunar science. The new laser communication system will also help us communicate between further distances with a smaller more portable device
