December 21st, Dominik Neubauer and two other people were abducted by a tribe in Yemen. The tribe was threatening to kill them if they didn't get paid a set amount to release him. They forced him to record a video asking the Yemen and Australian governments to send the money. The governments are planning a way to set the captives free. Sadly, kidnappings like these happen quite frequently in Yemen tribes.
I think it's sad that some tribes in a country have to go this far to get attention and resources. Selfishness has caused other people to have to go without and if we all shared everything, there would be less kidnappings because more people's needs would be met.

That is just awful. I can't believe a tribe would go as far as killing someone for money. This tribe is so selfish and uncaring. Imagine how the family of this man must feel. This may be the last time they ever see their family member, and it was in a video with a gun pointed to his head. I hope this tribe lets this man go free soon, and I feel that there should be some big consequences for the tribe for holding a man hostage.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much selfishness in the minds of these tribes that they have to go to the expenses of kidnapping and threatening to get what they want not even thinking about the consequences. This is just pure evil.
