Violence In the CAR - Max Gaddis

http://edition.cnn.com/2014/01/03/world/africa/central-african-republic-beheadings/index.html?hpt=iaf_c2

According to UNICEF, violence against children has been growing in the Central African Republic, or CAR. Children are getting killed, beheaded, and recruited as child soldiers. United Nations verified 16 deaths in the capital of Bangui on December 5th alone and many others got injured. The nation went crazy after a band of rebels that calls themselves "Seleka" drove out President Francois Bozize in March, they are one of the latest band of rebels to appear. They claim he went back on their peace deal, that was forged between them months before, and they wanted him to step down from presidency. The deal actually fell apart when the group made their way to Bangui and committed acts of violence on the citizens. Bozize Fled to Cameroon as a result. This is seen as an act of genocide, being that they are targeting children. The country fell to anarchy and since Seleka is a mostly muslim group, christians are the ones that have been fighting them the hardest. Violence continues in the country.

I think that Seleka was really stupid to throw the country in anarchy because of something the president may, or may not have done.
