16 deaths during parade in Haiti: Samantha Arthur

http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/17/world/haiti-carnival-deaths/index.html
16 people were killed during Haiti's national Carnival parade. No murders, but there was an accident with an electrical shock on one of the floats (atleast that's what government officials are saying).

It's really tragic that so many deaths occurred when it was supposed to be a light hearted event (atleast that's what people  like to think). They should have made sure all of the equipment/ floats were ready to be in the parade.

  1. I once saw the movie rio and they had this historical parade in it. There wasn't any dead people though. So sad how the media leaves out these things in mainstream movies. Did you know that carnival has happened in Rio since 1723!!! That is world history right there bbyg.

  4. That's awful that precautions weren't taken for accidents such as this.
