Obsession with beauty nearly kills model

Andressa Urach from Sao Paulo brazil admits her obsession with beauty and plastic surgery almost killed her. Urach is a model and a reality TV star who has had more than 10 surgeries done to get the body and face that she believes is perfect. She changed her nose, cheekbones, jaw, had her breasts changed twice and had numerous lip injections to become beautiful. Eventually the medical procedure took their toll, she was rushed to the hospital for septic shock and spent weeks in the intensive care and then in a wheelchair and eventually recovered.
I believe this incident is serious and ridiculous. I believe society has set a bar for what beauty is and needs to look like. This idea of beauty has resulted in women thinking they are ugly and need to get plastic surgeries in order for society to think they are beautiful.
