Sandra Ávila Beltrán also known as "The Queen of the Pacific" was just released on appeal after serving a total of over 7 years of prison. She was arrested for money laundering in Mexico, however she was never convicted of many crimes accept conspiracy to smuggle cocaine in Florida, to which she plead guilty. She also told police that she provided support to Juan Espinosa (AKA The Tiger-El Tigre) She was then deported back to Mexico and served 5 more years for money laundering  charges. She was released on appeal because she was tried twice for the same charge in the U.S. as well as Mexico.

She should be constantly on surveillance since she has familial ties to the Guadalajara Cartel. She is most likely going to commit again the only question is when. In her statement she says she knows that drugs come in and out of airports without the authorities even knowing about it. She denies the charges, but in order to confidently make a statement like that she must have done some smuggling.
