Facebook in Prison by Victoria Biro*

Security is pulling back the reigns on punishment in prisons.  The new punishment for use of social media while in prison is now equal to that of committing a violent crime on an inmate.  Solitary confinement:  alone in a cell, no telephone, no visitation rights, etc.  This can go on as long as they have bad behavior, or a set amount of time.  One prisoner received 37 years of alone in a cell, and 74 years of no phone or visitation rights.

I feel sad for the man because he lost those rights for life (basically).  On one side, he was just on facebook to communicate with his family which i would want to do as well, but on the other side, he knows the rules, and needs to learn to pay his dues.  He committed a crime in the first place so he must live through the consequences and learn how to be good during that time.
