"gay-friendly 'mosque" by Sophie Goetzmann

There is now a new mosque opening on the outskirts of Paris that is gay friendly. A mosque is where islamic people go to worship. It is run by Ludovic-Mohamed Zahed, he is a Islamic scholar who happens to be gay. This is the first gay friendly mosque in Europe. They created the gay friendly mosques because some of the gay people felt "uncomfortable."  Everyone is hoping that this will be a positive and safe environment for all.

I think that it is great that they made this. I also am a bit confused why they would feel uncomfortable because they are suppose to be accepted.

  2. I think this is a really cool thing, and it just shows how much people around the world are changing, and how much more accepting they are.
