Veteran explorer sets off on 'The Coldest Journey' By Halle Van De Hey

Tom Levitt of CNN talks about an incredible journey embarked on by Ranulph Fiennes through Antarctica. Ranulph Fiennes the world greatest explorer could not resist the temptation of embarking on this amazing journey. Durning this 2,485-mile journey they hope to find out more about how the climate change is affecting the ice caps, and they also hope to raise money for the blindness charity Seeing in Believing. For this journey all 5 men have amazing innovative technology that will help them stay alive through everything they have to face. They are also carrying enough supplies to last them a year, because during the winter in Antarctica there is no rescue teams that can come help them if something goes wrong.

I think what these men are doing is amazing. They are risking their own lives to try to help us stop the ice caps from melting. To me these men are very admirable, and I am very thankful for the people out in the world like these men will to do anything they can to help the greater good.

  1. This is a quite impressive journey and for a good reason, but my question is what can they do if the ice is melting?
