'Red October' cyber-attack found by Russian researchers by Amaria Stern

Russian resarches have discovered a malware that may have been stealing encrypted files from 2007. The targets of these cyber-attacks were major companies, businesses, and institutes. From what the researchers have discovered, it is a "massive cyber-attack campaign". The goal of these attacks were to gather information necessary to access classified computer systems and mobile devices. They have the ability to recover deleted files from USB sticks. This malware is new to researchers. These programs can also hide on machines to look as if they had been deleted. Large numbers of computers have been affected by this virus. The researchers are being extremely careful in trying to trace these hackers and find the true source of the cyber-attacks.

I feel that people take the pursuit of recovering concealed information too far. Sneaky, infectious computer viruses can only serve the hackers for negative purposes. These purposes could have a widespread affect on major corporations in Russia.
